The results were amazing.  Reggie and Dante arrived on time and the Therma Shield heat barrier was  quickly installed while the weather was still cool. The most amazing thing were the results. I placed 2 remote thermometers in the attic, one above the foil, the other below and during a warm day, the difference was over 35 degrees –what  a great product, thanks.

Just wanted to send a note of thanks for the very professional job you did in April of this year in restoring our 25 year-old solar hot water heater and installing the therma-shield insulation in the attic. The old glycol-based solar system we had installed many years ago never worked properly but you were able to use those old solar panels and put in a new solar hot water heater which is already saving us money. Our May electric bill was the lowest I can ever remember and we're excited about all the future savings. Also, the radiant barrier under the roof seems to be keeping the heat down in the house this summer. Hope it will hold the heat in in the winter. Your crew was courteous and efficient and, of course, the federal and state tax credits we will claim next year was a deal-maker!

We are very happy with how smooth the installation went. Your crew was very professional and provided a clean and complete install. Your representatives were courteous, thorough and efficient at every stage of the purchase and installation process, from the initial energy assessment of our home to the final test of the system and clean up. Your sales representative made sever very reasonable recommendations for improving our home’s energy efficiency, explained the typical cost –recovery time for each one, and worked with us to come up with a solar hot water system design that fit our budget. The installation crew came when they said they would, worked steadily and finished on time.

We are excited to bring our 19th century home into the 21st century with a system that goes back to direct use of the sun’s energy.

The Project to install a solar hot water heater was completed yesterday. We’re pleased with the result, and we plan to track heating patterns in the roof collectors and inside the tanks, to discover firsthand how the technology will reduce our carbon footprint. We also look forward to a positive impact on our utility bills.
The roof collectors could be taken to be skylights by a casual observer- they do not detract from the house’s appearance- and the inside mechanics are conveniently tucked away in an attic.

The project took less than a month to complete, and the disruption to our routines was minimal. As project manager, you made every effort to stick to a schedule, with necessary allowances for rain and wind interruptions. Your coordination of subcontractors’ schedules also contributed in keeping the project on track. The workmen employed by NC Solar Now tended to be nice, friendly guys who were responsive to our questions and did good work. The fact they cleaned up their work site throughout the project was the icing on the cake.

Problems were minor, and we appreciate that you worked to solve them quickly and in a way that kept us informed.  Thanks for your professionalism and a successful completion of this project.

As I sat down to write this letter, I thought what was the one thing that stands out about NC Solar Now. It’s the friendly approachable people! Everyone we worked with was always friendly and courteous. They treated our home like their own and answered all our questions. If they didn’t know an answer they found someone who did. We appreciate everyone’s hard work on project!

After observing our system for a weeks, we are very happy with the results! On an average sunny day the roof temperature gets to around 200+ degrees. We then see the system run from around 11am to 5pm  heating our water to 160+ degrees. Thus far we have maxed out three times. Even on partly cloudy days we still see heating around 140 degrees.

The instant hot system is also a winner around our house. Instead of waiting around 10 minutes for hot water in our shower it literally takes seconds now. We used to run out of hot water after two showers back to back, but now we have had no trouble at all. Overall, we would recommend this system to anyone who is trying to lower their energy bill also contributing to the environment.

I have to tell you that the installation of the K-Shield to my attic access area walls and floor to the main attic floor and bonus room office floor went off flawlessly.
The installation of the attic solar fan to the rear of my home with the solar panel facing south went off without a hitch. Interestingly, I am writing this letter the day after Earth Day. It’s nice to know that NC Solar Now has helped us to decrease our carbon footprint and hopefully save us some money in the long run.

The crew that preformed the work was very respectful of my belongings, knowledgeable, timely, courteous, and professional at all times. Thanks very much for going the distance in providing us with all necessary documentation for next year so we can enjoy the rebate when we file our tax return. Thank you for your professional and timely installation of our Thermashield insulation.  We felt the difference the next day.  While temperatures and humidity levels reached summer highs, we were comfortable in our home.  We had to reprogram our programmable thermostat because it no longer needed to come on so frequently. 

We wanted to lessen our energy use and save money and we are already doing both.  Our latest electric statement quantifies our initial savings.  We used 269 less kWs and paid $29.46 less than the prior month. These savings come at the height of summer highs. 

Insulating our home is not as sexy as having PV solar panels installed but it certainly making a difference in our home and to the planet.

Jim and I are very pleased with our Heliocol solar pool heater. As you promised, we were in the pool 2 months earlier than last year. We love the water temperature at 80 degrees and the system is so easy to use. The thermostat allows us to cool down the pool on those very hot middle-of-the-summer days. The benefits are great and will certainly justify the cost of the system in no time.
