Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
The Most Convenient & Affordable Way to Charge your Electric Vehicle
Charge your electric vehicle (EV) up to five times faster at home.
It’s happening! Just like your cell phone, you can charge your electric vehicle overnight at your home. We are a Tesla recommended and certified installer and we offer a variety of other EV charging stations, including BMW, Nissan, Schneider, Bosch, GE Watt-Station, plus others (NOTE: It is expected that there will be 500 EV models available by 2022). With sales of electric vehicles on the rise (3.5 million estimated by 2030), this is an up and coming technology. It used to be that you’d plug your electric vehicle into a power outlet at home or use a charging station (connected to the grid) but, thanks to solar power, electric vehicle charging is now cleaner and more accessible.
You may have noticed more and more hybrid vehicles on the roads and a few electric vehicles. According to the DOT, the average American drives 13,476 miles in a year. We get an average of 24.7 mpg and use 546 gallons of gas (which is equivalent to $1,650 depending on where you reside). That means contributing 4.6 metric tons of CO2 to the atmosphere. Considering that the next gen vehicles still have to be ‘fueled’ (electricity isn’t free), solar power is looking that much more attractive to those wanting to save for retirement while also going green!
What’s more, it probably takes fewer solar panels than you think to get the job done. As always, there are several variables to that equation; how much you drive, your vehicle’s efficiency, the amount of sunshine we get in North Carolina in any given year, etc. It will also depend on the type of panels installed for your home charging station. Don’t forget that the 26% tax credit, Duke Energy rebate program and property value increase still apply!

What Do Our Clients Say About Us?
“NC Solar Now was nothing short of amazing! They truly partner with their customers to ensure that they understand your goals upfront, communicate openly and excellently throughout the planning process, execute on time, and continue to support you and ensure you are aware of how to take advantage of new tax credits and rebate programs that you are eligible for. I am very happy with my 10KW system and the quality of the install, but above all, the ongoing support and customer service I receive from this company. I am endorsing them because they worked very hard to earn my trust and business and I know they will do the same for others. They have set a gold standard in my book!”
